The short version
This site uses no cookies and no advertising or cross-site tracking. It counts visits anonymously with Vercel Web Analytics, which does not identify you. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google. Personal data only leaves this site when you send the contact form, write me an email, or choose to load the Spotify player.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. When you visit, Vercel processes technical data needed to deliver the page and keep it secure: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, your browser and the referring page. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in a working, secure website. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Visitor statistics
To see how many people visit and which pages they read, this site uses Vercel Web Analytics, provided by Vercel Inc. (see above). It works without cookies. Visits are counted with an anonymous identifier derived from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours, and the statistics are not tied to any individual or IP address. What I see is aggregated: pages viewed, the referring site, country, and device, browser and operating system types. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used.
Contact form and email
If you use the contact form, the details you enter (name, email, message), together with the page or campaign you came from, are delivered to my inbox through the form service FormSubmit (formsubmit.co). If you email me, your message is stored with my email provider, Google (Google Workspace). I use this information only to reply to you and to work on your project, and delete it when it is no longer needed, unless tax or commercial law requires me to keep it. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR for project inquiries, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Spotify player
The credits page can show a Spotify playlist. It loads only after you click "Play the playlist here". From then on, Spotify AB, Regeringsgatan 19, 111 53 Stockholm, Sweden, receives data such as your IP address and may set cookies. Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, given by the click. See Spotify's privacy policy.
Links to other sites
Links to Muso.AI, SoundBetter, Instagram, Spotify, Google Maps and other sites only send data to them when you click. From then on, their privacy policies apply.
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Just email me. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority, for example the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
