Dr. Session
A Mac app I built for the part of every session nobody enjoys: sorting stems. Drop in a folder of stems, samples or one shots, and Dr. Session listens to the actual audio, sorts everything by what it hears, and builds a ready to mix Ableton Live session.
It runs 100% locally, nothing leaves your Mac, and it learns your library the more you use it.

Four things it does for you

It listens instead of reading filenames
No guessing from audio 03-1.wav or print 04.wav. A neural audio model decodes the actual sound, so it knows a kick from a vocal from a synth pad no matter what the file is called. It works on the messiest folders: unlabeled exports, old bounces, someone else's stem dump.

It builds the real Ableton session
Not just folders. You get a ready to mix .als with every clip already on the right, correctly colored, correctly named track. Open it and start mixing on the first beat. Works with Ableton Live 11 and 12.

It drops into your own template
Your groups, your sends, your colors, your routing, untouched. The classified stems land in the template you already build every session around, instead of a generic one.

Export the way you work
Build a new Ableton session, inject into your template, or just organize everything into clean folders. Correct a classification once and the Learning Engine remembers, so every session gets more accurate for your sound.
