Melodic techno mixing and mastering.
Melodic techno has to do two things at once: move a dancefloor and carry real emotion. I mix and master melodic techno in Berlin and online, and I've worked on releases for Afterlife, Anyma, Adriatique, Mind Against and Tale Of Us.

The details
What a melodic techno mix needs
Melodic techno lives on contrast. The kick and the sub have to own the low end and hit hard on a club system, while pads, arps and lead lines need width, depth and room to breathe. On top of that come long breakdowns that should feel emotional and drops that should land with real impact. A good melodic techno mix keeps all of that clear at the same time, instead of letting the big sounds swallow each other.
Mixing melodic techno
- Kick and bass: a rolling bassline that locks to the kick, so the groove drives without the low end turning to mud.
- Width without losing mono: wide pads and stereo leads that still hold up in mono on a club system, with the low end kept centered.
- Space and depth: reverb and delay that create the big, atmospheric sound of the genre without washing out the groove.
- Leads and vocals: the main melody or vocal sits forward, so the emotional hook comes through in the drop.
- Movement: automation that keeps a seven minute track evolving, so it never feels static in a DJ set.
Mastering melodic techno
Mastering melodic techno means keeping the width and depth of the mix while the low end stays solid underneath. The breakdown is meant to feel quieter than the drop, so the loudness is set track by track rather than pushed to one number. When a release needs both, a club version and a streaming version can be mastered from the same sound. More on loudness in how loud should your master be.

What to send
For mixing: your stems as WAV, 24 bit, at the project's sample rate, clearly named, with nothing on the master bus. If an effect is part of the sound, print it on its own track. For mastering: the final stereo mix with some headroom. A reference track or two you love always helps.
How it works
Send

Reference
A first pass to hear on your own systems, not just mine.
Revise
Timestamped notes beat "make it punchier." Specific feedback lands faster.
Deliver
Release ready files in the formats you need.
Questions
Do you mix melodic techno from stems?
Yes. Mixing starts from your stems. For mastering, a stereo mix is standard, and stem mastering is an option when the balance isn't fully locked.
Can you mix and master the same track?
Yes. Many melodic techno producers book both, so the mix is made with the master in mind.
How many revisions are included?
Mixing includes up to two revision rounds, mastering one.
Do I need a separate club master?
Sometimes. If the streaming and club versions need different loudness, two masters can be worth it. I'll tell you when it is.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. Most clients send files from wherever they are, and you hear every version on your own speakers.
